What are ear candles good for?
In case you don't have any real health problems you can use them to relax and they also help to remove excess wax. The gentle heat and vapors from the ear candle cause the wax to soften and expand, so that it will come out of the ear on its own within a few days. Using ear candling can also help if you have ear problems, breathing problems, colds or stress. Because the ears work together, and our sinuses are also connected and form one system, it is always recommended to treat both ears in one session.
How does ear candling work?
It is a simple naturopathic way that you can use at home. If you place the ear candle on the ear canal, the heat from the burning ear candle and the slight vibration of the air inside the ear candle will improve blood flow and have a beneficial effect on the ear, nose and throat area. It is important to say that the whole process is a very relaxing experience, so that stress can also be reduced.
How often can I use the ear candles?
The number of treatments varies per person. If you are healthy, one treatment per month is sufficient for relaxation and ear cleaning. In case of health problems, a daily treatment is required per ear. You should always treat both ears, because together they form one organ and the parts of the ear canal on either side work closely together. That daily treatment can then last five to seven days, after which you have to stop for a week. If your symptoms do not improve over a longer period of time, it is better to consult a doctor.
Can I also do this with myself?
We do not recommend doing it yourself. It is better to ask someone to position the candle correctly, light it and hold it in the correct position while burning, and also to extinguish it again at the end of the process. SO NEVER DO THIS TO YOURSELF!
How long does an ear candling treatment take?
A full treatment of both ears takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The burn time of one ear candle is approximately 12 minutes, and both ears must be done at all times. Our advice is to supplement the treatment with a facial and ear massage and a few minutes of relaxation afterwards.
